Rocky Mountain Bad Boys – MMA Champions

Rocky Mountain Bad Boys – MMA Champions

 September 24

We checked out the show last night, back out at Red and Jerry’s event center. WOW.  I’m telling you, if you want to see some action, the local scene will not disappoint…

There were two pro fights, two belt fights and a card full of MMA barn burners. (Check the full results for a play by play).

The night started with an amateur kickboxing bout, followed by a night full of MMA. We saw everything:  TKO’s, submissions, hard fought decisions. We saw a three second stoppage that  had to be SOME type of record. Okay, almost everything – no women’s fights tonight.   Awesome fights all night long regardless.

If you haven’t been yet, Red and Jerry’s is a decent sized place. I estimate the crowd at near 1000…give or take (I’m not always the best judge of attendance).  Single level seating, but there are screens just in case you can’t see as well as you like. The place is designed so there really isn’t a bad seat in the house.  Reserved seating as well as general admission available, so get there a little early for a better seat.

Don’t underestimate the crowd at the Colorado events.  If you are as avid a fight fan as I am, you will recognize some unsuspecting faces.  More generally, you will likely see at least one fighter known nationally.

Highlights and lowlights…

Highlights are as always, great, great fights.

Lowlights…That more people aren’t aware of the local shows.

As Colorado residents we are truly fortunate to live in this hotbed for MMA, make sure you get out and support our local fighters.

Sorry for the quality here, the lighting was a bit lower than I expected…
